Since I didn’t had enough time to share my time with Anderson I just made some caps of AC 360°.
Here are some to start with. I’ll post more of the other episodes on Monday.
You’ll find all 100+ pictures here.

John McCain re-launches his campaign. Same as Obama.
They’re both trying to sell their economic plans and taking shots at each other.
Once again it’s a lot of politics and people will have to decide which of the candidates will be the better choice for a way out of the ‘upcoming recession’.

McCains spreads the news that Obamas tax increase will hurt the economy even more and destroys jobs.
Obamas replies that this simply isn’t true. His tax cuts will be three times better for the middle class than McCains.
Meanwhile McCain tries to changes his image.
No more green in the background (why? I thought being green is good…) and he replaced his teleprompter speeches with open Q & A sessions.
Okay, he’ll have to work on the last part.
Especially when He’s doing jokes on Obama that no one really gets. Uhoh…
Anyway, McCain had a tough battle with Bush while both were running for President. 4 years later he made nice with Bush and the party establishment. That helped him becoming the nominee.
But what does that mean? He’s no longer the republican maverick he used to be?
In fact McCain tries to change that image. Right now where Obama says McCain’s running for the third term of Bush.
And while McCain tries to find the right mix of both Obama once again is attacked by members of his own party, saying he’s moving to the political center.

David Gergen explained, and I’m totally with him on that, Obama simply had to move to the center. Although he’s never considered him to be someone at the left.
People who say he flip flops just don’t know him.
IMHO that’s true. I read his book and I always got the feeling he’s taking the best of both worlds…
*I’m a supporter, yes…*
For the first time one of the freed hostages spoke out in public, reminding us that there are still other hostages that are kept by the guerillas.
It’s been a moving speech that caused some troubles in my mind, when he came to the point that they are now punished because he’s free.
“The FARC in no rebel group! They are terrorists. […]
Show the world that you are no terrorists. Send the other hostages home. […]
Don’t forget the other hostages!”
At this point I planed to close this posting, but then there came this other story that somehow kept my attention.
You learned I’m Demoquat Democrat and now I’ll reveal this other secret – I’m Christian as well. So I just had to write about that…

“Holy war”
When I’ve been in school I had to write an essay about Islamic fundamentalism. Not a nice topic and without knowing 9/11 was coming up not one of the most exciting.
(I got together some stuff, got my B or so and went on…forgetting most)
But I remember quite well, that at the time where I started to create a concept I realized that if I’m talking about the Islamic fundamentalism I also had to look at Christians too. (And by that time I’d never even thought about the possibility of Christian fundamentalism…poor innocent angel I’ve been…)
For everyone who doesn’t know what I’m talking about – NOW is a good moment to check out Christiane Amanpours ‘God’s Warriors’.
Anyway – there’s a young soldier suing the Army because he’s been discriminated by fellow comrades for being Atheist. (Btw he went to the war in Iraq, serving his country, with his Bible and as Christian – now he’d turned into an Atheist.)
He filed a complaint against the government saying the US Military has turned into a Christian organization. Huh?
He further says that there are practices in the military that are discriminating non-Christians.
That would mean the war in Iraq turns out to be a holy war.
(Now I’m waiting for Rena to step in – Come on! Be the Atheist I can count on!)
After thinking about it for a while…
…the US-troops some kind of 21th century crusaders?
Just a thought – Not a statement.
But I’d like to know what you’re thinking. So leave me your comments.
And now I’ll close this blog-roll with an amazing man – who worked the wonder and made Andy dance…

Matt – The shot!
Go and check out his website. I truly believe there should be more like him. The world would be a better place.

After all there’s not THAT much to talk about this week.
AC360° spent most of the time on the freed hostages in Colombia that have been kept for 5+ years.
Rebels were holding the hostages in a remote jungle area.
They’ve been about to move to another place in the jungle via helicopter.
What they didn’t know was that the Guerillas have been infiltrated by Colombian forces.
One of the hostages that have been set free is Ingrid Betancourt, who’s been held for over six years. Betancourt has been running for President of Colombia.
Bio Ingrid Betancourt on Wikipedia
Remarkably no shots were fired during the rescue operation. As Karl Penhaul stated that’s surprising and points to the fact that US intelligence forces have been involved.
Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC)

Meanwhile Obama wants to rethink his position in how to deal with the war in Iraq. Does that turn him into someone who flip flops?
And is he moving to the middle?
So far I have no idea.
Clearly he wants to end the war in Iraq. But as this continues since 2001 he’ll have to look on what’s possible and how soon he’ll be able let this ‘dream’ come true.
No words on the transsexual mother from Mr. Cooper?…ehr yeah…still not ready for kids?
Beat 360° with Madonna’s ‘Vogue’…is someone trying to please Andersons taste in ‘funky’ music? From Franky goes to Hollywood to the Queen of Pop. Back in the days when she used to be Jean Paul Gaultier’s muse. (Does someone remember her scandalous Emmy show?)
And just for the records, who needs Madonna when there’s Erica Hill?
btw, did Anderson bark???
If someone please explains that to me…
Dr. Phil? Huh? (Seems Andy got an idea…)

More and more money is slipping away. Prices for houses keep falling, gas prices are rising…it looks like a big depression. And that’s how it feels for most. So, with your vote, will you be able to change anything?
And what are the candidates going to do about it? The economy now dominates the campaign trails.
Candy Crawley gave us a short summary.
‘Families have to decide on which food they are going to buy, because the amount they used to spend on groceries is now going into the gas tank.’ That’s what Obama stated.
Even a child…
Nicholas Sheley, suspected of killing eight people, has been caught by police yesterday night.
Shelley allegedly killed these people within one week in an area of 300 miles. The first hearing was supposed to be today.
This on is unbelievable!
A woman has been waiting for a bed in a psychiatric ER when she collapsed. It took an hour before anyone helped. Enough time for her to die.
A security video revealed that several people walked by without caring or calling for help. Including two security guards.
And this is not the first time the ER has to deal with troubles. In 2007 an official complaint has been filed concerning the horrific conditions.
The hospital says it has changed since the complaint but obviously they haven’t done enough.
Now every patient has to be checked every 15 minutes.
Too late for the woman.

Well Anderson remembers Frankie goes to Hollywood. Yeah!
Me too! And now, I feel old…
Did I mention I love Sing Star?

Today just a short summary of what happened in last night’s podcast. As most of you’ll have learned Gen. Wesley Clark criticized John McCains argument to be the best choice as future Commander in Chief. Clark stated that being a pilot during war and shot down doesn’t give you the qualification you’ll need as the next president of the United States.
Due to the fact that Clark is a supporter of Barack Obama, the McCain Campaign sees this as a try to smear John McCains war record. Although Obama denounced Clarks comment.
Cooper continued with Obamas and Clintons phone call. 20 minutes to discuss if and how the former President will support the future Presidents campaign. We’ll see.
Joe Horn allegedly killed two burglars in self-defense. Despite the 911 operator told him to stay in his house and wait for help he went outside and shot those to men to death – in the back. Now the Grand Jury had to decide on whether it’s been self-defense or murder. After month of trial the verdict’s been not guilty and Horn was free to go. Some felt like he got away with murder. Erica Hill covered the story while Jeffrey Toobin gave us an update on what the law says.
